Its getting bigger we have done two so far, 54 boats on our first one, and 74 last year.Well organised event, lots of accodomation in Bangor, trailer parking, great food ,pubs, friendly people and of course there are the ribs. The main event involves a run from Bangor Marina, to Donaghadee harbour, and approx 18/19 miles across the Northern channel to Portpatrick, in Scotland, returning to Donaghadee that evening. The entry fee in no way is reflective of what you recieve as an entrant, caps shirts , marina berthing, trailer storage, food and sundries, its well worth a look this year, the event 2003 featured a three page article in Rib International, so start phoning the Northern Ireland tourist board and Bangor tourist info now, they will put you onto recommended b/bs hotels etc.
