Reckon to be at Lamlash about 1030 ish, all being well. Will see you then.
Just back from 2 weeks on the island. Think I spotted your boat on a mooring in the bay.
We did the run back from Millport to Brodick last week in a good swell, also runs to pladda, skipness, and Tarbet, Loch Fyne.
All good stuff, saw loads of wildlife.....porpoise, basking shark, and would you believe, what we think was a minky whale!

Certainly believe you saw a minke. I've spotted one twice in the last week from the ferry - both times in mid-Clyde, about a mile or two N. of the ferry track. Maybe tomorrow...
Right, sack time - see you all in the AM.

Just back...
...after a great day out, despite the weather.
There are piccies on the way from a variety of sources; some may be later than others.
Thanks to the crews of Amber, Crusader and Mhairi 2 for being good company.
Now, where's the shower I promised myself...

Thanks to all who took part. Turned out to be a good day out, with some challenging seas thrown in!
From speaking to the crews, I estimate about £400 in total raised.
Have tried to upload some pics without success, will keep trying.

Who is organising the next get together on the Clyde?
(By the way, the QE2 is visiting the river for the last time on 20th Sept, and will be heading down river in the evening, 40 years to the day since it's launch).

Hi, glad to hear you made it round to Islay.
I'm very envious......back to work tomorrow!
Hope you are lucky with the weather, the scenery is fantastic up north.
Enjoyed the trip yesterday. If you plan to bring the new boat into the Clyde during the engine break-in period, let us know, and we'll try to meet up.
Will follow the trip with interest.
Best wishes

Hi,
Just out of interest, I got a letter back from the RNLI, in which they thanked kindly all those who took part on the day for their efforts.
Cheers
