Bearing in mind the reception that we got in Holyhead marina last year when we all pitched up wanting to use the loo & not pay the £7quid /hr mooring fee, would it be worth contacting them before hand & trying to get a deal on 29 boats for an hours berthing? Fiver anyone?

Just tell the women to perch there ar*ses over the transom and hold on tight to the A frame and put the money towards the
fund.

I'm all for that It wasn't just the loos they were (rightly) bitching about. It was the fact that we tied up on a pontoon & didn't pay whilst we had our picnics. They've got a point & I would feel more comfortable paying summat, it's just that 7quid for a p155 & 1/2 an hour on a pontoon seemed a bit harsh. If 20+ boats turned up & they did everything properly, it'd take an hour to book everyone in. I'm sure if we walked in & stuck 70 quid on the counter & asked if we could use the loo, they would snatch our hand off.

Ive got two key fobs for holyhead marina, we can use them to access the toilets, picnic round the corner on treaddur beach and all put a fiver each in the RNLI collection box

Do you reckon we can be discrete enough to hide 29 Ribs coming in to moor, then 60 plus folk setting off in two's (holding hands or not for the difficult bits ).

I reckon we should let the Marina folk know, advise em that we'd like to donate to the RNLI while we are there and ask if they have a collection box.

You'd hope they would agree that would be fine for a brief stop over

Whisper, PeterM and I are booked into the travelodge on Fri. Travelling up after work so a lot depends on traffic would be rude not to be there before last orders
