Think a few are in the black boy in Caernarfon.

Spotted a sky blue rib with yellow writing on the tubes on the back of a tow truck on the M40 around 6pm this evening. Hope it was one of us.....

20 ribs launched from here this morning, took the photographer out to the Fort to get some shots of them passing, quite a sight seeing all the pack making there way towards us!

Well we think 30+ boats made it out today, Very heavy weather on the north side with lots of props out the water and a few stuffs. All made it round and back safe, an awesome day out. Very challenging by Carmel head and middle mouse with scary overfalls from a spring tide. A good few people were heard saying its the worst waves they've ever been in... Me included.

Well, we wussed out. Couldn't run with the big boys and were catching some decent air even in the lea of the island. Tried tracking in towards the island a bit and found some nasty confused seas which were hard work. Got to treadour bay (? ) just in time to see the last boat disappear so we decided to pootle back down the coast exploring.

Sun came out, sea state moderated, and we had a lovely run back. Anchored for lunch in a lovely little cove I need to find the name of, looked like it had a lifeboat, or old lifeboat station, in it.

Was hoping to go through the strait W to E but crew were getting cold and grumpy so we came out at about 2:30.

Thanks to Chris@Ty Calch for really nice launch and recovery experience. We'll be back.

Really enjoyed the meal at Fu's though the format didn't really lend itself to mingling so I didn't get to meet as many as I would have liked.

All in all a great day out. Thanks to all who had a hand in organising it and we'll be back next year if you'll have us.

Also max respect to the lads in the 4m who made it round. (Shared at table at Fu's with Norman but not sure who the skipper was). Put us to shame!

Agreed, Fu's food good but we were all spread out.

I think the 2012 format of a hog roast at the caravan park bar is the way forward, with the projector screen of footage of the day.

Here's to next year! Wonder what the challenge will be then.

Well done to everyone that turned up, whether they got round or not, there really were some challenging conditions. Rather people return safe than disappear in the overfalls.

Thanks to all who came.
