Here's to next year! Wonder what the challenge will be then.

Well done to everyone that turned up, whether they got round or not, there really were some challenging conditions. Rather people return safe than disappear in the overfalls.

Thanks to all who came.
We had a fantastic day, and it is great to go through such challenging conditions in numbers, knowing somebody is not far away if assistance is required.

Sorry we had to shoot and couldn't make either the pint at the Gazelle (which was much deserved by all) or Fu's.

Well organised and well done all for making the effort in the first instance from where ever you came.

Until next time.....

Thanks for organising the trip HP. It was great to try somewhere different with very nice scenery and meet new faces. The conditions offered some good practise and comforting with so many boats around. Apologies for not popping into the gazelle a pint was well deserved but after a long day wasn't a good combination with travelling back home. Hope to see some of you again this season and the Gopro footage gives those conditions justice!

Well done to those that travelled from afar, Pikey Dave said there were people from Edinburgh, Hull, Southampton and Bristol! The power of the Internet. Good work.

I'm home !!!

Awesome day ...decent seas, good practice - even saw some wildlife ( a couple of I am sure porpoises on the last leg to Puffin Island - any one else see anything ?)

I'm feeling it though..

Just downloading footage which I hope for his sake has the 'moment' Silver fox had rounding South Stack (?)

A huge thanks too everyone involved (especially the Banana boys)... I think we got a bit spread out by the sea state but as always I'm always amazed and pleased so many different people form all over the place can get together and have such huge enjoyment .

Got home last night too, had a great weekend with great company as always.

Tough seas but great views when you could grab a glimpse.

Saw 2 (from what PeterM said) porpoises which was great as I have only seen a seal before and although I was hoping for dolphins I will settle for the porpoises

Big thanks to all the organisers The launch and recovery was perfect

Also thanks to PeterM for the lift, funny conversations and a rave to radio 1 on the way home

But the man of the match has to be AJ who towed his rib all the way there and back on his own to make this possible for me and Peter. Nice one dude

Yes they made it all the way round in a 4.2m quicksilver, the crewman had to sit in the bow in the rough stuff to keep the boat level, hats off to them they are tough cookies

Has to be them. They got back and came to Fu's. how they got through without being swamped I will never know. Perhaps a little foolhardy to carry on from Holyhead, but heh, they made it in one piece!! Well done Simsy. Testament to what a little, shallow v hull can achieve with what must be excellent skippering and balls of steel.

That's amazing!...and it must have been quality boat handling to get round. Hats off to them.
