We seriously considered turning round at Holyhead & coming back down the west side, knowing what lay ahead....Am I glad we didn't, I'd never have lived it down You've certainly got some cojones Simsy

We had a fantastic time, got to meet new friends & put faces to names. It was nice to see plenty of WAGS turning up, it gave the weekend a more social feel, rather than just a bunch of hairy arsed overgrown kids playing with their toys We had a couple of friends on the boat & it was their first time out in a RIB, talk about baptism of fire, (or water) We had a few lairy moments in the various overfalls, it never ceases to amaze me, the power of the sea. Several times we were perched on top of a cliff of water, 230hp shoving 2x4 blade props & going nowhere, even backwards at one point

Thanks to HP for organising it & big thanks to Chris & his team for doing a fantastic job of getting us in & out, top man

Here's to Oban

Got as far as Holyhead and then got sea water in the fuel after the bilge pump failed.

Massive thank you to those that helped particularly the lads on "warrior" I think it was that towed us in. (Please pm me you bust a nav light towing me the least I can do is buy you a new one)

And to Hadd and Kerny who got me away from the rocks and then came to Holyhead to sought retrieval of nemanda out with me.

Thanks to mick for letting us hop on with him and finish the cruise.

You all helped to make sure what could have been a disaster and a crap weekend into a top one .

Nemanda is now tucked up in Andys boatshed waiting for a new bilge pump and carb clean etc

Cheers all

Neil and Amanda

no where to stand let alone sit down ..

Fu's was great food even tho I had to ask for a little more seeing as we had a table of 10 .. But fair play within 5 mins more plate loads came flying out I thought it was a good place no one waited long and everyone seemed to enjoy the nose bag

Aye, food was great!! Just I couldn't tell who was the public or a ribnobber on other tables. Great to see some familiar faces and some new ones too. I'm whacked now, aching like hell.

thanks to everyone for a great weekend, HP for starting it all off way back, Chris Ty Calch for organising such great launching and recovery, plus great car & trailer parking for Fu and his staff for a great night and what must be one of the best Chinese in Nth Wales, and a ribbber himself
and everyone who turned up on what must have been a "challenging" days ribbing for us all, I had a great day out, I think my crew Andrew and Jeff did well putting up with my driving skills, or lack of them
hopefully I'll sort some good video clips from the gopro when I get home, first time we've used it so maybe not upto TonyT's efforts yet
it was great to have a chat with everyone at Fu's, you've all kept me going the last twelve months, can't wait for next years cruise, I'm sure HP will be sorting a date soon

What a fantastic experience it's our 1st time round the isle and to be honest my arse fell out a phew times around the north side ha ha but all ended well and another learning curve achieved ..

Give me a chance Mr Smooth! Not even wrung me clothes out or recovered from "The Grim Reaper" (Deano) hovering on my rear port quarter for 30 miles!

(Need to look at dates and tides first.)
