Oh mate! So sorry to hear about this, you should start a thread on this to help warn people of the dangers of working with fuel and vapour.
I hope you have a speedy recovery, please let us know how you are doing.
All the best
Alex

OMG, that is pretty bad. Agreed, you should start a thread to enlighten all the "DIY" boaters on here what can go wrong!
Hope you are ok

Hi,
I'd just like to say thanks to Humber P4VWL and to Chris at Ty Calch (and team) for making the weekend possible. We really enjoyed it, well at least myself and my mate did, not so sure about my brother as it was only the 3rd time in 15 years he'd been on a rib.
It was also good to put some faces to names although it's a pity we didn't get to meet you to say thanks. We only got back late last night (370 miles seems verryyyy lloooonnnnggggg when towing a boat) so i've been unable to log on earlier as my iPad got a tad waterlogged on the trip round. I'm sure i could see a fish swimming behind the iPad screen.
I must confess to being the owner of the Ribeye mentioned so I'm pleased you like it.
Thanks again. Peter.

Massive thank you to those that helped particularly the lads on "warrior" I think it was that towed us in. (Please pm me you bust a nav light towing me the least I can do is buy you a new one)
And to Hadd and Kerny who got me away from the rocks and then came to Holyhead to sought retrieval of nemanda out with me.
Thanks to mick for letting us hop on with him and finish the cruise.
You all helped to make sure what could have been a disaster and a crap weekend into a top one .
Nemanda is now tucked up in Andys boatshed waiting for a new bilge pump and carb clean etc
Cheers all
Neil and Amanda

Hi Neil,
glad you and Amanda enjoyed the weekend despite you're boat troubles, we were happy to help. Don't worry about the Nav light, I live in Essex so it'd probably have got nicked when i got back.
Thanks for the beers at Mr Fu's.
Best wishes, Peter.

It's only a vw tiguan. It coped really well. It's auto so I just set the cruise (and went to sleep). Averaged 45mph on the journey back and got 34mpg.

I thought it was we Scots who'd ttry to water down the fuel to make it last further. Guess I'll have to think of some other way to make my fuel last (other than slowing down).

it was a brilliant day out with a great crowd, and a good night at Fu's too, what ribbing is all about. I can't believe I made it all the way round, I was only aiming to do the short trip from Ty Calch to Menai and back to Ty Calch, but temptation got the better of me
