Its getting closer!!

Right Peeps, looking forward to this now and now need to get planning on the smaller detail for this event please can anybody help with the following:

1.) Want to get some aerial photos of us all travelling through the straits so will send the Mrs and my mum ahead to get some photos from the menai bridges. Which one has a public footpath on it (can't remember) and where would the nearest place to park would be in order to walk onto the bridge?

2.) When we pull up in Conwyn for a few scoops is the front area where the tiny house is?

3.) Finally I need to put the mutt into kennels for 1 night can anybody recommend a good kennel in the Caernfaron area?

Thanks

Suspension bridge by Menai is your best bet! There's parking on the Bangor side. Boats pass centrally under that bridge.

Front area is the quayside by the castle and yes the narrow house too!

So without wanting to read 35 pages if I want to come up for the weekend (we have friends in Cheshire) there is a round Anglesey charity cruise on sat 19th, tractor launch from friendly ribnet man with secure trailer storage too.

It's a bank holiday so the distance seams less of an obstacle.

Anywhere nearby to leave the rib afloat for another days boating on the Sunday?

4.) Get a name for your new RIB, get the nameplates made and get 'em glued on!

there is mooring in Victoria Dock, caernarfon, I think Telcowilliam could give you some advice on that

Daniel - I know its not what you asked - but I was planning of making a weekend out of it, but launching both days and taking the RIB back to the camp site on the Saturday evening - Must work out cheaper than Victoria dock...

Victoria dock is only open 2hrs either side of high tide. pretty limiting. Though there are moorings up the river by the side of the castle. You could look in to that.

To save reading back through all these posts, as I seem to have missed a few pages – Did I see something about us being able to get flags & t-shirts for the trip – what’s the cut off to order?

Just seen HP's signature re t-shirts

Flags we are working on. Tim & Linda and a link up with the "Darn Sarf" Macmillan lot.

Be great to get a photo of boats with flags coming through the bridges.

I'm trying to get one of the buckets to take along the quayside at Caernarfon as it may well be busy with people. Been promised one, but will have to wait and see. Could always make one i guess.

Brilliant - My plan is for me and my mate to boat and the other halfs and kids to go in the car to meet us in Conway for lunch, and take photos at various points along the way. So they should be able to help out collecting..

I always love a good flag
