Great day yesterday on our pre cruise cruise to Ty Coch with Jeff & Sandy, Si & Andy, Tony & Lynn, Clamchowder ( sorry forgotten your names ) and Gareth (Whackwoody), the sun was out all day n it was a blast, Ty Coch was a good as usual and the beach was full, even acrobatic kids to keep us amused

looking forward to today and meeting everyone again

we're planning on launching early so we can get photos of everyone else launching at Ty Calch, then we'll try n keep ahead of the pack to get photos of everyone, I believe Tony (Barrowboy) has a plan for some good action shots around the Swellies assuming he's found a dry phone to use

let's have a good day

Caught some of you guys arriving at Conwy for your pre cruise beverage. It looked very impressive when everyone set off. Can't wait to get a bigger rib and join in the fun. Well done to everyone

Great day, battered and bruised we arrived back near Holyhead this afternoon.

Great day from glassy smooth to 'little bit frightening' at Point Lynas on the way back.

Hope everybody else made it round safely.

Cold light of day, on reflection a brilliant turn out with some great people.

Clear skies and bright sun all the way. Conwy marina hosted 30 boats after an initial 36 set off. 2 broke down and a few headed back when it got lumpy off Puffin.

PBR mag were there and hopefully we will get a feature, raising the Macmillan Profile a little more.

After a good chat for an hour we headed off across a v rough wind over tide NE side of the island. Puffin to Carmel Head and middle Mouse was erm Challenging for many, helmets and full wet weather gear needed. Again a few headed back down the strait but circa 25 or more made it right round, a good 16 or so having another stop in Holyhead.

Some of the boats out that day were impressive bits of kit from all over the UK

Having confirmed to the coastguard all boats were safe a fantastic day was then followed up at the Celtic Royal where over 50 people came in the end. Well done Chris for organising, great set up.

It was excellent speaking to others including many of the RI 2013 and forthcoming Round Britain challenge.

Monies raised for Mac are to be counted, but with flags, T shirts, sponsorship and the evening meal there should be some £ going to whisper's JG page soon. Plus PBR mag were there and we may get a feature.

See you all next year. Bring on the photos and Go Pros!!......Click image for larger version

Had a great day yesterday and made it all the way round (just!) This was our first cruise on our first rib. It had only done 6 hours on the clock when we set off from Caernarfon. Bit more testing in parts than we expected but good fun and great experience. Thanks to everyone's efforts in organising the event and hope to do it again next year!
Have tried to donate on the just giving link provided but it seems the page is now closed to donations?

Great to meet you all. Best of luck with the RBritain!! Will it involve passing Anglesey? Or will it incorporate Ireland?

LOL, my Dad fished out Andy B as I didn't even see him fall in but Andy was a good sport about it and didn't let it ruin his day

Cracking day out and would like to thank the following people for their efforts!

Humber Paul for organizing the event
Chris Seddon for such a smooth operation in getting everybody in and out of the water efficiently
Tim and Linda for the Macmillian flags
Chris Mr Smooth Caton for leading the charge down the straits and handing out the T-Shirts

It was great to put a few faces to names and meet new people but didn't get round to meeting everybody but hopefully will see you through the boating year and maybe at next years event.

Here is a short unedited video of us at the 5 knot speed limit on the straits and must admit looks a little menacing for someone in a canoe or small sailing boat
