Round Anglesey for Macmillan Cancer Support - April 19th 2014
No worries! Possibly 23/24/25 May.
But just checking with SWMBO and the joint initiator of this annual event (as last yr I didn't and he'd booked a holiday, oops)
Options include IOM, Ireland, Pwllhelli or Conwy/round Island again (hopefully better weather!)
New People seem to come each yr to "Run the Strait" and Conwy is a hospitable/scenic/practical destination with the chance to circumnavigate the island afterwards seeing many sights.
Other options are "challenges" with little on the way. Though Pwllheli is an option for an overnighter with Bardsey sound on the way and drinks in the evening say. Any breakdowns would also be more easily recoverable too compared to crossing the sea.

Caernarfon, Bardsey then camping on Shell Island is one I want to do this year - so Bardsey to Pwllhelli gets my vote.

Paul
I'd love to do them all. The IOM and Ireland would only be suitable for the larger ribs. A run to Pwhelli sounds good as does Conway. It would be nice not to preclude some from what has been a great social event as well a great day out on the water.
Nick

Not sure how shell island would cope with 30ribs all needing a mooring...

Plus distance to shell is a bit far when you combine it with the trip round the peninsula. From Bangor to Abersoch is 60miles alone
