I see you are going through the Caledonian Canal in one day?
Is this right?
It took us two FULL days and we only squeaked through in that time, and that was in a very fast rib.
See:
The Caledonian Canal 2006

But the best of luck anyway.

Looks that way - but not quite the way you did. He must be planning to get in the first "lift" of the day at Fort William and make best speed for 'Ness. He may be planning to moor on the upside of the 'Ness locks for the night and take the first drop out to sea in the morning. Inverness is a lovely town - good food and drink and nice residents, in my experience...

OK, but as I said "best of luck".
Lets hope it all works out for them.

I, personally, would not bet on that. I am doubtful about the locks and other users.
But lets see how it goes.
I am sure whisper will keep us all FULLY INFORMED as to progress.

The plan is to get to the first lock at the first lift, it will be an early start for sure

Team Black Hawk haven't booked any accommodation for this trip so we are under no pressure to get anywhere. If we get suck anywhere we'll sleep on the deck or we'll have a tent if b&b's are full...

The only place I'm worried about is st Mary's but we do have a back up plan for that. I may make a few calls this afternoon.

This is the point of no return - Black Hawk is ready to go .
In the early morning I will leave Berlin , will go from the very east to Netherland , Belgium , France - will take the Eurotunnel and suppose to be in SH on Wednesday morning after 1250km where I will meet with Alex & Biffer .

*Alex - looking at the weather forecast we will better leave some gear in SH but take plenty of beer with us

Ah - I think that is just plan "B" if there is a strong Easterly rather than the prevailing breeze from the west.
As far as I know the plan is still Milford Haven to Dun Laoghaire then on to Bangor the next day.

Are you doing a fuel stop at Portland? If so what sort of time do you expect to be there?? Planning launching there Thursday would be cool to tag along for a few miles :-)
