Maybe that means their engines won't pack up before the end...

*Alex - looking at the weather forecast we will better leave some gear in SH but take plenty of beer with us

Dude you should be in the UK by now, hope you have a great sleep and looking forward to meeting you for the first time tomorrow at Biffers

Round Britain 4 Macmillan

I was thinking, if you lot struggle to get fuel in Oban for the Oban-Inverness leg il be at the canal in my pickup when you arrive for the first lift. Itl take you quite a while to get up the staircase so I would be up for doing a fuel/supplies run for those needing it.

The filling station is about 5 mins by car. Co-op is 2 mins.

You're dead right Andre.
Really we should have called it the Round England and Wales 2014, but REAW14 doesn't really roll off the tongue like the RB14.

Still - if we do the top bit of Scotland next year, we can call the series of cruises the Round UK and Ireland Trilogy - RUKAIT doesn't sound too bad!

I certainly am - With Rick again, but in Blue Ray this year rather than on Baby Blue. This way we avoid accommodation booking worries as we'll sleep on board.

Great stuff. I'll look out for two boats on 2nd in ramsgate then. If you're on schedule I probably won't come out to meet you on the Saturday but will cruise with you on Sunday if that's ok. Perhaps I'll have lunch in Eastbourne and head home.

Alex - I'll txt you about accommodation.

Alex / Trev , It's probably me but........With all of the previous fund raising activities for Macmillan , you have made it pretty clear where people can make their donations ! I don't think it's even had a mention in this thread so maybe worth refreshing our memories ?

Best of luck to you all..... Bern

Wow £50 donation already, also £40 from the girls at work and another £10 from my chiropractor

Also doing a daily update for work so hoping to raise some awareness of Macmillan and what we have been doing.

I'm here at biffs with jurgen everythings going well and we have stopped for a cup of tea. The vipermax is awesome, I'm very impressed... Click image for larger version

Now now Grumpy, I was just having "the craic" with you. I figured if you could tease the Macmillan boat team about it not being a proper Round Britain Challenge, then I could tease you (in a quiet way) about the Mercruiser inboard diesel failure on your Parker Demo RIB during your recent Round Britain promotion. Did you ever get to be bottom of that?

As you know, I haven't done a RB. However, I understand that it's fairly straightforward - carry lots of fuel (and jelly sweets), keep making progress and turn left at the important corners. Avoid tornadoes too...

I love G wagons but the sight of a yellow G wagon keeps reminding me of that film "layer cake"
