I was told to keep the Light part of the lighthouse in front of the Coast Guard station behind for a safe passage.

That wreck worries me. Never seen anything on the sounder, apart from the reef of course, but the wreck does get serious mention in the guides to those waters. Anyone any direct experience?

A good example perhaps of how bouyant ribs are considering the engine bay was flooded and other damage done, they were able to tow the rib back to lymington, anyone know the owner of the Rib, would be interested in pictures and his account might be useful.

Great camera work, those extended shots of individual boats are fantastic and the quality of close ups exceptional.

Here is a plan showing its location, a useful one to have aboard and also the link will show images and how to keep a physical level in mind to be safe (scroll down to West Solent and The Needles)

Thanks for the praise. It as the first time I had used my new waterproof camera since getting it at Christmas, and was quite pleased myself with the results.
It's a Nikon Coolpix AW100.

Also just got round to editing together some footage that I took with my other video camera (Sanyo VPC-WH1).
Not as clear as the other one with the newer Nikon, but still worth a look:
