Well we made it! Dinard-Jersey-Alderney yesterday, Alderney-Yarmouth-Southampton today. As long as the weather is nice then we will hope to join you on Sunday Weather today was lovely but there was a thick bank of fog between 20nm and 10nm south of the IOW which was a bit annoying but no harm done and a nice lunch at the Wheatsheaf in Yarmouth.
Slight problem with the auxiliary charging system but nothing a bit of tinkering with a multimeter won't sort. Looking forward to it!
Also should have space for two people should anyone else like a ride Drop a PM if interested

Based on the fact there is a large number of Ribs and people intending to do this cruise and also based on we want to do things properly and promote good practice would it be a good idea to make sure the spreadsheet containing details of boats going be updated and include MMSI numbers, call number, emergency contact numbers, boat details, number of people on each boat and names ..... 'just in case' and submit to solent coastguard before event just to be on safe side and best practice ? And let them know all are ok after the cruise. ?
Not trying to be negative or over cautious but best plan for any issues.
Route and waypoint, bolt holes, people with tow ropes etc etc. All the stuff learnt on PB2 !
Im fine if you want to tell me to bog off but do it nicely.

Boris, the idea is that the event is a coordinated cruise, where everyone is responsible for their own actions and safety. The shared document http://bit.ly/IoW2014 is just intended to help summarise the info that is in this thread if someone were to have time to read through it all.
Having a detailed passage plan shared across all participants would, IMHO, make this a RibNet organized event in a way that the owners/admins have preferred to avoid.
Anyway, doing the planning is all part of the fun isn't it?!
