Kevin,
Just a warning, insurance !!!!! If you are hiring out seats for gain or payment you need the correct tickets to operate and the correct insurance
Steve
Not trying to piss on you parade just pointing out no matter what the good cause is, if anything untoward happens you need to CYA

OK, but if he lets 10 people on his rib for free and they all donate £50 each direct to our Justgiving page does he still need the above?

Whisper I would really like to come if I can get back. I am at a regatta in Italy which finishes supposedly on the Saturday. If I can get flights back easily I will be there. Trouble is I want to be with the Scooby Team! Can't I go as their support vessel?

Doesn't matter if it's coded and there shouldn't be a problem, they aren't doing it for profit or reward and it's going to look pretty petty taking the owners to court for doing charity work anyway, I'm a licences skipper and the boat was coded I still did stuff for lunch or free berthing, does that make me a criminal, far too much red tape to have fun these days

OK done - with permission I am supporting Team Scooby provided I can get back in time! I can carry gear if anyone wants to lighten up and I can also provide waves for the Nutters (guess who!) to jump if the conditions are too flat.

I expect I could carry some gear / fuel too if anyone needs, or indaba can't get back.

That is a very good point - could carry some extra fuel in case anyone runs short.
