I think it's called 'rigid hull inflatable boats' then you have to look in the events section.

The same info is on there and here.

Good Morning Alex,
Really looking forward to Sunday, couple of things;
1. I have not registered on Facebook, but Hummingbird + 1 Ribeye coming.
2. Please can you confirm RV times for the forts off Portsmouth.
3. Please can everyone attending visit the just giving page, and make whatever donation they can afford, to an amazing cause, that has helped so many, and will continue to do so. Still a bit needed to help Alex raise the donated total to fund a nurse for a year.
Kind regards
James

and another...

This will be my first rib net cruise in my own boat, and as I've managed to get a friend to crew on Sunday I we will be coming along.

Had a chat with the bunch at the dry stack, and I will be using their generous special offer. What a friendly bunch they are.

Is anyone around on Saturday, as might be tempted to come down then, go for a quick spin and leave the boat over night? As a really a newbie keen to meet a few people.

Cheers
Mark

A few of us are leaving Drystack on Sat between 9-10 on Sat for a bit of a play before Sun. Unsure exactly my plans as this weather is being a little indecisive.!!

What ever the weather, we'll be out having fun.(Hot n Sunny= Priory Bay Overcast= Coastal cruising + a Pub.!!)

Then.....i think a lot of people are taking advantage of the rather generous Drystack offer and setting off from there around 9am on Sun for the meeting point at Wootton Creek.

PM me if you need any further info

James

Due to the high level of interest for this cruise I have taken advice from the coastguard and I have decided to start the cruise off in smaller groups of say 10-15 ribs and then regroup around the back of the island. This will enable us to clear the busier part of the island with minimum disruption.

To accommodate this I have extended the rendezvous times from 10:30 - 11:30

We will have all the Macmillan bunting for free in Biffer's Yellow Cabin RIB so please pick some up if you want to decorate your rib!

We must clear the Wootton Creek Area by 12:00 as there is sailing on there, so as soon as we have a group large enough to go then you will be off!

We will regroup at Sandown Bay, Biff and a couple of the other larger RIBs are back markers so once he arrives at Sandown Bay we'll be off again.

We will then regroup again around Freshwater Bay before we round the Needles together, at this point I need to count the RIBs for our record attempt...

At the Needles we will have one big photo, check the just giving account to see if we have our Macmillan Nurse (£52,500) and then we'll all be off in our separate directions.

Please allow plenty of time for traveling and launching.

Best of luck to you all

Alex

Sounds like a good plan.

Would it not make sense to keep to the 1130 last departure though - if someone arrives at 1030 and the first group goes off at 1040 and the last group goes off at 1200 that's going to be a lot of hanging around in Sandown Bay waiting for late comers?

Cheers

Duncan
(I think I may be seeing a lot of Biff on Sunday!)

The last rib, Biff, leaves at 11:30, if any boats meet up at the RV after that then they better get a wiggle on.

Normally at the start time ribs will still be arriving all over the horizon and they'll keep on coming.

This year there is no waiting, there is one hour between 10:30 & 11:30am it's up to everyone to be on time.

Small ribs are encouraged to leave early and the larger ribs or people with engine knowledge are encouraged to run towards the back.

+1 , in you leave on the first group of RIB's at 10.30 ish you might be in Sandown bay waiting for one or two hours for the last boats to arrive??
Also - if the ' fleet' is split up what’s the meeting time for the final rendezvous at the Needles?

How did you work that one out? I think you need to read my post again.
