Specifics

I have only been alerted to this raid, and as I have an office in Worthing, and my sister lives in Chitchester, it seems as if I might be able to kill three birds with one stone, even though I'm in Cheshire and the boat is in Wales!

What I don't know is when and where the start is, and how far is it approximately?

Also, will the weather be any good?

Sorry if this is dealt with somewhere in the thread.

Looking at possibly joining you if the weather is nice enough, what sort of speed would you lot be doing on the cruise? Asking this due to fuel usage, we have a 60 lt tank and just wondering if it'd be big enough to get from Cowes around to Yarmouth while going at speed.

To summarise;
Start is mouth of Wootton Creek on the IOW, 3 miles to the east of Cowes. Going Clockwise around the Island at approx 25knts. Departure from start point 1000 on Sunday 26th May.
Distance around the Island is 55NM + your distance from launching point.
Weather? Start praying to whatever deity it is you believe in

So if the weather real is that bad what's the plan? Postpone for a few weeks?

All the long range forecasts for the Bank Holiday weekend are predicting light NW, N, NE winds at the moment and fairly settled weather from next Wednesday onwards. Obviously still too early to give accurate forecasts but its looking promising for the 26th

Peres a real gentleman. His brother has got the same cancer as me and we are running neck and neck on the recover. This little jaunt is closer to him than to most others
