Round Scotland
Heads up for those who fancy a good run!
A couple of us are thinking about doing a Round Scotland Trip/Cruise (not a race) next year....details and stopovers in the planning stage at present.
...Let me know if it's of interest, and you want to be kept in the loop as things progress

Is there more than one?...
Cape Wrath has to figure I reckon..other wise it's across Scotland surly ...although that is always an option Homeward (Oban jump off)
Fancy it?..

Well last time I checked you couldn't take a boat across from the Solway to the Tweed... (other than on the road)...
If you are insisting on going round Wrath (Seems logical) - do you include around all Scottish Territory so out to St Kilda, Round Orkney and Shetland (I bet the guys up there get just as frustrated with people saying they are going round Scotland and cutting them off.
And then you get to a Clock or Anti-Clock discussion...
How quick you planning to do it...?

I like/try to be logical when I can be
The mainland is on the Radar at the moment ..but you never know ....how the weather..time constraints ..and logistics play out is always the major deciding factor on the final passage.
As for the pace...7 to 10 days would hopefully give us time to explore some interesting places/stop overs en route at comfortable Cruising speeds, although IME it pays to be flexable!
As said Oban would be Jump off so...I think Clockwise would be the best bet eh!?

Neil, what's your plan for recovering the boats from the finish point? Or is the plan to go around the outside then back through the Caledonian to the start point?

Makes sense, prevailing wind in the SW would make for a clockwise trip[emoji106]
