Round Something 2018 - 6 (+ 1) Nations Cruise
This year we've decided to do a "Round the Isle of Man 7 Nations Cruise"
Starting on 16th June: England, Wales, Ireland, Isle of Man, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Piel Island (it's got a King so it's sort of a nation) and back to England.
There are about 8 ribs and one or two hard hulls hoping to do the cruise, and as ever, the plan is likely to be fluid depending on the weather.
The planned schedule:
Day 1 - Sat 16 June
Fleetwood (UK) - Conwy (Wales) 60 Miles
Day 2 - Sun 17th
Conwy - Dun Laoghaire (Ireland) via Menai straights. 105 Miles
Day 3 - Mon 18th
Dun Laoghaire to Peel (Isle of Man) 90 Miles
Day 4 - Tues 19th
Peel to Belfast City harbour. 120 Miles
Day 5 - Wed 20th
Belfast to Port Patrick via Rathlin Island. 115 miles
Day 6 - Thurs 21st
Port Patrick to Douglas (IOM) 58 nm
Day 7 Friday 22nd June
Lay Day on the IOM (or catch up from weather related delays)
Day 8 – Saturday 23rd June
Douglas to Fleetwood via Piel Island (Barrow In Furness). 61 miles
I'll try post up daily progress, and if anyone's out and about in the areas where we're planning to be, do feel free to try and meet up with us or join in for a day or two. (The current group is loosely based around the Round Ireland Challenge that took place in 2013).
