Round the Island Race

Round the Island race is on Sat June 3rd woundered if any body is going out to chase some yatchs
The start is from approx 6am to 8.30 am so dose not have to be an eary start
give them some time to get going.

HI ROY

we are planning to be out on the 3rd a friend is racing his yacht for the first time so we are hoping to follow and get some pictures .keep in touch nearer the time and we may get chance to cross paths

Normally goes anti-clockwise i.e. from Cowes out past the Needles, past St Cats to port and back in via the forts.

Tried it one year in the opposite direction - OK to start with but not fun half way round - kept getting shouted at

we are aiming to be at calshot launching by 9am looking at the forcast we should have a good few hours before the yachts get to the needlles.
