Xc weather showing a really good day tomorrow. 10.30 leaving Ty Calch heading for the Skerries. As Ian reminded us at the talk tonight we need to take care around the wildlife maintaining 5 knots and not going too close to bird colonies ideally keeping 100m away.

We will spend 15 to 20 minutes at the Skerries before heading to Carmel Head running down the coast to Holyhead led by Jon Peers in North Wind Challenger. We need to go into Holyhead harbour as a group Jon will direct us on where to raft up. There is MOD support vessel alongside the lifeboat whose facilities can be used for anyone needing a loo stop.

The plan is to leave Holyhead around 2 pm and run back down the west coast at a more leisurely pace with an eventual stop at pilot cove. Low water pilot cove is around 1500. Care needs to be taken going back over the bar. Follow the channel and watch your depth.

Finally we will run on channel 8. Have a great day everybody!

A note from Jonathan Peers So far the plan is to raft up alongside the smit Don first, before going onto the lifeboat for a look around. After going into the harbour as a pack, I would ask that we raft up in size order with the largest boats tying up first. Obviously please be respectful of other people's boats when crossing, and of course the boats we are boarding. I don't like to rattle the tin, but any donations to the rnli will of course be gratefully received.
