Saturday 4th november 2006
I'm probably going to be out this Saturday, as a friend is badgering me for a jaunt and the weather looks promising.
Shall be launching at Warsash about 1000 hrs with no firm plans on where to go but shall have a full tank of fuel.
Keep an eye out for the 'Yellow Peril'.

Subject to 'Management Approval' I may also be out again tomorrow - have you made any plans yet?

Andy,
Look forward to seeing you again.
Absolutely no plans and totally flexible, other than a possible drop off of some RIB Kit on the IOW, but that will be a quick land and handover, not too sure of the landing place yet, but as I said it will be a swift affair.
Weather looks very good for tomorrow other than being a bit a fresh. Given the distance we travelled last week I am prepared to do a similar trip but as I said I'm completely flexible on that part. I won't be out next weekend due to work and a boat jumble on the Sunday at Calshot, so want to do something this weekend and make the most of the fine weather.
I haven't even gone firm on a launch point but Warsash is the preferred option.
Am considering going to the Nab Tower then visiting Littlehampton for lunch. Same sort of journey as last week but the other way.
Or could do Ventnor which I've never stopped at and then go all the way round the Island.
Any suggestions as nobody has said they are coming yet. Guess I'll get a reply off Ian M tonight.
Nick.

Nick,
Yes you are right! Unfortunately I am going to have to back out of this one, I have to follow up on my visit of this week, and put some time in at the office tomorrow. Very sorry.
Hope to see you out on the water again soon.

Kevin, what are your plans for Sunday. LAmpton ribsters heading for Cowes Sunday morning . Leaving LA between 8:30/9:00. Weather good so it should take us just over an hour. We must be back for 2 PM before LW

Trip Pics
Well, In the end I met up with AndyB007 at Calshot as planned. We then made our way clockwise around the IOW, as it had been pointed out to me by Andy that we wouldn't have got in to Littlehampton at the time we wanted. Nice face saver that.
The weather was stunning just like a nice summers day, the seas were very smooth and scenery fantastic. I even managed to get some towing in off Yarmouth.
After a nice lunch in the Kings Head had a short blast back to Warsash. Managed to get 41 Knots in the kind seas. Fuel consumption was 55 Litres for the 63 NM trip giving an average of 1.1 NM to the litre.
Pic 1 shows Andy on Darwin off Ventnor whilst we had a coffee break.
Pic 2 shows myself and my friend Steve also off Ventnor.
Pic 3 shows the Needles at her finest.
Pic 4 shows Darwin off the Needles.
Pic 5 shows the slow bit.

I think we need to start buying some RIBNET T shirts so we can identify each other.
The Burgees don't seem to be very prolofic on RIBs around the Solent and they fade badly any way.
Wight Skipper you should have popped in to the RIBNET local in Yarmouth and said hello. The Kings head.
