Saturday 7th August - Swanage Bay - Red Arrows

The Red Arrows will be displaying over Swanage Bay from 11.30AM this Saturday. I saw their display at the bournemouth air show last year and it was great, especially viewing from a boat directly under their flight path.

Hope to see some of you in the bay.

Don't count on it. They're suffering technical problems I've just read. Hopefully at Falmouth for Fal Week next Weds.

Drat and double drat .... will check their web site .....

Just read this online so all is well ...

THE Red Arrows will be gracing the skies above Swanage this Saturday following a series of safety checks on their aircraft.

There were fears the legendary display team would not be able to fly at Swanage Carnival after it was revealed that all RAF Hawk aircraft would need to be checked.

The precautionary measure was taken after engineers found a fault with the ejector seat of one plane during an inspection at RAF Valley in Anglesey, Wales.

It was unclear how this would affect the Red Arrows’ forthcoming programme of displays and flypasts.

But Swanage Carnival organisers received confirmation from the Ministry of Defence yesterday that the display planned for 11.30am on Saturday would go ahead, weather permitting.

We will be there, doing our "normal" Jurassic trip, but have adjusted the departure time so that we can arrive in Swanage at 1130, watch the display and then continue(at no extra cost).
Have half the seats sold already, so should be full on the day.
If you have your camera, could you try to get a couple of pictures of the boat? Thanks

Steve

Or Steve may have inside info ?

Fingers crossed......
