Anyone fancy meeting up sometime and heading off from Scarborough? We never seem to meet fellow ribsters up this way, so it would make for an interesting morning or afternoon out. Maybe a trip up to Whitby or down to Brid?

I should know I lived there for 16 yrs - Harbour master will report you for pulling more than 15 kts within harbour limits which can be as much as 20 kts away....

Mind the "canch" and the tits in rowing boats if you plan going into the harbour - call in on Ch 14 first or they do get stressed.

With a bit of planning later in the year I'm up for it!

Now I live in Portishead - but my parents still live in Upper Poppleton (no jokes from other forum members - its a real place near York ) - so I would love to explore the coastline of my youth

My old stomping ground when I worked for the NRA was up on the Tees - a run from Tees down to Whitby sounds like fun... Try and spot the seals on Seal Sands

I'll have to study up on that bit of water.... anybody know any good books?

So yes - later in the year I'll trailer the Rib up for a weekend.
