Hi All
I know I expressed an interest in this, and would have loved to have tagged along, however other priorities have got in the way and I don't have the spare cash or time to do it now.
I hope you all have a fantastic time; look forward to hearing about it on here and to maybe catching up with some of you if/when you're in the Solent area.
Take it easy,
Ian

It's in the West stengthening to 8 tomorrow. The wind turns Easterly on Thurs and strengthens. Do your homework re. Easterly/South coast Cornwall.

We had a great trip back yesterday, a steady westerly swell which built up considerably on the headlands. Flood tide on Lizard Point was pretty exciting.
We looked out for the Matt H crew going the other way, but gather that they aborted. A wise call, Anything beginning with an 'E' in these parts is not good. It's been lumpy enough inshore off of Falmouth today, the Sunday return would have been a nightmare.

There was on ebay but I didn't have the cash to go for it..
I'm still credit crunched and the kids are eating me out of house and home.
Drove past ur house yesterday (been to Durgen for a walk) would have popped in but we had two very tired n teazy boy's in the car..
The Wall and driveway looks great, didn't look like you have made much progress on the house.. spending all ur time in the boat
PS Sticky mentioned a trip this weekend although I think the wind is forcast to be Eastly which will make for a good North Coast run..

Come in next time, or I'll send our kids around to yours for tea!!
We spent the day at Durgan today. It was a bit late in the day to bother with the big one, so we chucked the QS 230 in the back of the truck, along with my newly aquired Tosshatsue 5. Get this, I was tugged by the Helford Patrol boat and bollocked for doing 12knts in a 6 limit. 12knts in a 2.3m dinghy. After the 'word' he said, ''I'm glad to see your wearing a kill-chord''.
Durgan is 5 mins and I can back down the slip right to the water edge.

Hav ya got gps on ya truck, type in "Best Coastline in Cornwall" then follow directions
Once u get to Hayle ( Although the Romans never fully conquered Cornwall they did, perhaps, have a presence in the Hayle ) ( Pizza Patio )
You get to our "5 mins away slip" (This is one of the best slipways in the area )
Now ya in "Gods Country" make sure you got ya passport, you can grab a "World Famous Pasty" to keep ya company whilst making way over the Bar
Then behold what scenery lies ahead of you, "Breathtaking" ( The words from John in the "Bucket" )
C U Soon
Ps No patrol men ere

Pretty good forecast at present Sticky. Not the 'looking good' 20mph Easterlies of the last attempt. Showing light Westerlies, keep an eye on the East wind forecast for Weds/Thurs. It's not predicted to be much now, but might develop.
