not right now - the boats on the west - but if there was an exciting trip planned far enough in advance I would consider bringing it back for a spell. There are a couple of other people here who do go out in the forth - including from fife - I'm sure they'll be along shortly.

I was just wondering as after a bit of skiing a shot on the ringos, its go for a bit of a blast up to Anstruther, buzz a few Prawn boats to p*** them off then back to Largo,
Just gets a bit boring, and reading here thought there may be others doing the same and wondering if any Cruises are planned, failing that i would go across to the Wild West if there is anything set up for this year.

We're almost bang in the middle, and the boat lives in the garage when it's not burning fuel, so Forth is as easy as Clyde for us.......

We drop into Largo occasionally but it's a bit limited tide wise. Are you happy in your boat in the middle of the Forth if it kicks up a bit?

Depends which boat i bring out,
Largo is a bit limited, Been along to South Queensferry thats a better slip for the tides
Ive been out blowing up 15-20ft waves running the gullys and up over the crests, but prefer other boats to be about if going out mid channel.
How long does North Berwick to say Elie take as that the shortest point?
For inshore flat water we have a 4 metre inflatable and a F3 Circuit cat
for more the family we bought a 18ft four Winns bow rider,
the other boats are 16.2 Marshan, 20 Ring, 20 Phantom.

If you cross to Fidra it's only about 8 miles from Elie so if the sea is ok it's only a matter of minutes. Then nip along the coast to N.Berwick. A cuppa and cake in the Seabird Centre then mosey home. You can land on Fidra. A good trip would be, Elie > N Berwick > Bass Rock > Isle of May > Elie. All the legs are 8 miles-ish or less. The sea at f4 easterly would be a challenge across to the Isle of May in a bow rider. I'd think twice or three times about that.
The other one you could do, weather permitting, is a there and back trip. Elie>Bass>Dunbar and return. Going into Dunbar is always pleasing and the water from Bass to Dunbar can be twisty turny. There are plenty of rocks and two poles to look out for, you need to be about the middle between them and then enter the harbour through a dog's leg with a high rock wall of red sandstone, with a wee castle on top, on one side.

That's what the wife keeps telling me.
Been into boats for about 27 years so the collection keeps growing i guess.
Every time i sell one i finding a replacment, but hey i dont drink or smoke so its my only vice.
There is another 4 mtr Avon i bought from Tim here but it need work (another project) but i'm not including that as its still in Portsmouth at the outlaws.
I didnt know its only 8 miles across, always thought is was about 15miles at least.
After the Easter holidays i'll be out most weekends,
