Had a PCR test this morning so should get the results through tomorrow. Symptoms started on Sunday so if I test negative on Friday and first thing Saturday I will be OK to come up on Saturday morning.

Bummer. Although I wouldn’t worry too much if you feel well enough to travel.

Everyone and their dog have had, currently have, or very soon will have Covid around here at the moment……My only hope is that if I must get it again, its soon, and not just at the beginning of our trip.

Fortunately, I’ve not came across one case of someone being seriously ill, which is a real blessing compared with all the pain, death and heartache we witnessed last time.

Just remember the wearing of masks is still a thing up here in public places unless Nicola has changed that today.

Oh, by the way that new fuel tank, hose etc off Ebay came this morning, which is pretty good considering I only ordered late night on the 28th.
Don’t know if I would bounce my big ass on it all day, but it does seem very sturdy. I’ve yet to find out if the connections work with my original tank and the Suzuki which would be a bonus and save having to buy further connections.

Anyway, hope you all have a great time

Got to be honest I feel fine now. Felt sh1t last night and was boiling hot in bed, although Diane said I should stop being a whimp and try going through the menopause!
Hopefully I'll be fine by the weekend, and you never know my new fuel tank may be delivered before then.

I tested positive a week gone Saturday, first couple of days I felt better each day & thought. 4 or 5 days ill be fine , I have worked right through but 10 days later I'm still coughing badly at times, particularly if I'm outside using energy. I'm also feeling the cold quite badly, either freezing or sweating. Its been bitterly cold up here the last few days & its not due to get much better over the weekend. Its up to you, no one seems to be bothered you have it but I wouldn't fancy a couple of days out in the cold without the opportunity to get a hot drink & a warm up whenever I needed it.

It was a great trip with some excellent calm sea conditions, even if it was a little cold!

Video to follow.

Scottish sib & rib outing 2022

Well it was a lovely Friday afternoon when I arrived at Largs yacht haven and meet up with Gazago and Flying Dutchman we decided it was best to pay for the slipway and have our cars and trailers secure we launched our boats and headed towards little cumbrae as I was still running my engine in we made a trip around the island to and more time to her we then headed to the castle to set up camp when we arrived I went and informed Peter the caretaker that we had arrived he was glad to see us again.

We all had a catch up on what we have been doing over the year and talked about our new purchases
Gazago has bought a new Brig 5 meter and Flying Dutchman has got a Humber assault 5 meter and Obsession had got hold of a Humber destroyer 5.3
My only purchase was I had updated my engine from a 20hp to a 25 hp we all had a few drinks and head for bed to be continued
