What current does the high pressure pump draw? Is it croc clips or cigarette lighter socket? How long is the lead?

I have power, but its fixed in the boat, not "portable"...

OK - in that case I should be able to get it to my battery if needed. I would just add that if its essential you probably want to have another option (if I have a problem and have to turn back etc). I'm guessing you have a footpump and can make it work but not at the proper pressure?

Hi Sunsport..I will have a manual hand pump. I dont need high pressure so dont have an electric pump..but Im sure you would get by with the hand pump in an emergency ?

I think a few of us will have manual pumps so unless hugely unlucky there should be no sinking... Theoretically my foot pump can get to 0.8 bar...

It's the one came with my Honwave... Sure it's no different to a Bravo foot pump

Sunsport I will most likely take my Bravo 12v pump and a manual hand version too.
Not forgetting an assortment of 28 ah and 2 x 7ah batteries.
The 7ah are easily removable and more than capable of topping up Sib tubes.
Dinnae stress.
I will be carrying a box of firewood too - last year only Poly and Gurnard contributed to the fire so I must make ammence.

Just checking my timings... we're planning to depart at 10am? So if i arrive at Largs just before 9am that should give plenty of time for setting up, packing etc.

Thanks...

That is right. The tide isn't ideal for anyone using the public slipway with a proper trailer. Folk with transom wheels etc should be fine, but those of us with boats that need to float off should either be closer to 9 than 10, or consider paying the marina to use their slip.

It seems its still too soon to get any sort of confident forecast!

Accuweather suggests F3 gusting 5, coming from the East, dry Sat AM light showers after that.
XCweather says F2 gusting 3 coming from the West! Shower late morning, but dry thereafter!

Either is probably OK - the stronger winds aren't the end of the world unless they are funnelling right up the Firth.

However the good news is, it will be dry and light winds most of this week so the ground should be OK for camping, and there should be little swell.

I think the latest roll call is:

Stigomery,
sunsport,
The Gurnard,
Poly,
kaman,
jeffstevens763@g,
marcradan,
Abram D RIB,
bmb779,
Kirkbysib

And the following might bump into us along the way:

Paul_S,
rab rib

With massive regret I'm going to have to back out of this years gathering, my work has changed this week and I'm being sent to Germany tomorrow and won't get home till Saturday morning. I'll be reading Gurnards report with envy and will definitely make next years

I'm helping run the Round Bute Sailing race on Saturday. They even gave me a fancy title...... Assistant Race Director, which I think means writing stuff down. Will be around Sunday though. Previous offer stands, if you guys need anything while around Bute.....send me a pm, I'm happy to help. Might run into you Sunday. Look out for my boat, it's the only one I have seen in the area.
