SE RIBsters 2nd meet

I'm organising (well anouncing that i'll be out and about and you are all welcome to join me) this for Saturday 13th March

Venue TBA - any suggestions?

My best idea would be a trip up the thames, as far as the barrier maybe further depending upon weather conditions.

If we go up the Thames i'll come from here (Margate or Ramsgate). And you? We could meet at Red Sand Towers (N51 28 E0 59)

HW on the 13th is 4:30pm @ Margate
For the Herne Bay gang that's 5pm which might rule a few people out unless they can get on the water at 7am However if we are going right into London a good 6 or so hours on the water will be sensiable. We could lock into one of the Marina's for lunch.

If anyone else has a better suggestion please shout.

Thought i'd bring this back to the top.

Looks like it's the 20th, unless anyone should LOUDLY within 24 hours.

Richard (my girls) can you still make this?
Phil, will you still be able to join us?

I've reminded Mr Bilge Rat (Richard) aswell and myself and JCW/Bern will be there.

I suggest a meet @ Red Sand Towers, i'll come up with a schedule / plan over the weekend.

20 March

Daniel

I'm taking my boat back to the dealer to have some gell coat repairs ( trailer not set up correctly). Hoping to have boat back in time by the 20th.

The 13th would have been OK but Ian has invited me to Southampton on the 20th to take part in the trials of his ProSport + 250 Suzuki which is arriving that week-end. I feel it would be rude to refuse

If it transpires that the ProSport will not be arriving on time, then yes I'd love to join you.

Phil, do you mean that you're coming to the Solent on the 21st?

Oh yes, I've just read your post properly now

OKay, lets get this straight, Phil's defecting, 2 people might or might not have boats and Myself/Tappy and JCW/Bern (who both trailer their boats) are going boating up 'ere when everyone else is having fun in the solent.

Jason and Bern do you fancy towing down to the solent for the day? We could pospone our 2nd outing 'till more people have a boat afloat for sure...

(Yes Rich, you might be winning this one. PS: Did tappy drop the prop book in this week (gave it to him Monday)???

Funnily enough I just remembered that earlier this evening. No - no sign of Tappy yet. He's most welcome, we've even unpacked most of our stuff now (it was only 11 months since we moved here!)

Anyway, Phil couldn't defect - If i understand correctly, he's a man of no loyalty wahtsoever, except when it comes to paintball

AND... Tappy is as much a Solent RIBster as me (stands to reason!!) and I reckon you've been out in the Solent this year as often as anyone else

I haven't met JCW and Bern, but I'm sure they are top blokes! (something tells me that at least JCW is familiar with Blue Ice!)
