I am now working for Saber Powersports (trailer bloke on here) all day Sat and Sun, but will be around Fri, Sat, and Sun evening for ribbing. Anyone going out from Calshot any of those evenings? Also up for a curry if anyone fancies one.

So by my reckoning it looks like about 10 boats launching at Portsmouth with another 3 coming by sea.
Here's parking info for the Camber in Old Portsmouth where we will be launching:
Camber Quay car park
East Street, Old Portsmouth, PO1 2JU
122 spaces
You can pay for parking on your mobile via RingGo, with the code 1373, or by cash at one of our ticket machines.
Charges apply 8am to 10pm, 7 days per week including bank holidays
• Up to 1 hour £1.60
• Up to 2 hours £2.60
• Up to 3 hours £3.50
• Up to 4 hours £4.50
• Up to 6 hours £6.20
• Up to 8 hours £8.50
• All day £10.00

Just spent 10 minutes trying to find provisional timings, so thought i'd quote this to bring it back to the top now I've found it.

- Bimble through Langstone Harbour and out into the Solent avoiding the West Winner bank
- Head for Portsmouth Harbour entrance via inshore boat passage through submarine barrier
- Once past Clarence Pier cut across to head for small boat channel into Portsmouth
- Head into Portsmouth Harbour as far as Ballast Buoy, radio QHM and cross back to Camber
- Lunch at the Bridge Tavern
This should mean that we have enough water at the top, and get through both harbour entrances before the tide starts running too hard. I think it's probably a better idea than stopping for a dubious lunch at the Ferryboat Inn!
The whole jaunt is around 13 miles and the speed limit is 10 knots so we should have plenty of time to take it easy.

I've warned The Bridge that there will be a bunch of us coming in for lunch, but haven't booked anything due to slightly vague timings and numbers.
Probably best to take our chances individually rather than trying to place a mass order...

The only potential rough bit I would have thought would be the enterance to Portsmouth from the Solent. I think the rest will be pretty calm
