I have decided not to camp as I haven't managed to fit a tow bar to my wife's car so I can tow the boat and the caravan.
I only live 25 miles from Portland so will travel down on the day.

Hi Guys
As per Avocet's post, I'm hoping to be up for this.
I'm going to aim to launch at Poole late morning - probably at Baiter Slip as last time.
Will be in the 4.7 Searider "Baby Blue"

With winds sticking N or NW between now and Saturday, there's little room for any fetch to build in the waves so sea state should be fine inshore for small RIBS and SIBS.
I'm currently waiting to hear from Oscarguitar and Long John (PMs to each) as to whether they are still available (probably hear later this evening). Tides preclude Oscarguitar and us launching until just after midday but, assuming that Trevor G will be launching at Baiter, it should be an easy RV with him since it's only 300m away. RV with Long John will be about ten mins later off the RMYC.
If we come over to Portland, we won't be there until after 1.30 pm which would mean rather a late lunch at Lulworth. Unless you're really nervous about doing the crossing without a larger boat (and it's pretty easy: you can virtually see Lulworth from the harbour entrance in good vis), I suggest that we RV directly at Lulworth at around 1.15 - 1.30 (you would have time to call in at Durdle Door on the way if you're launching at 11.00). That would get us to the pub for around 2.00. They do food all day so timing isn't critical and I wouldn't think that booking would be necessary that late.
Suggest Ch08 for comms. and looking forward to it.
David

Cheers David. I'm probably launching from Fawley and either watch the sailing and annoy fellow Rib-nobber as there is a free lunch or head round the coast a bit!

The following from Poole have now confirmed as well:
LongJohn - "Seadrive" - Capelli Tempest 470 - Suzi 70hp
Non-Ribnet - "Serenity" - 7.5m? - Evinrude 200hp
Five, therefore, now from Poole since I assume that MattH is not now joining us (although welcome to join at Poole Harbour Entrance around 12.30 if 'heading round the coast a bit' includes Lulworth!).

you may be VERY lucky and find parking on the road.
there is pay and display next to slip. (small)
I have found a free car park 300m away where divers leave car and trailer.(make sure you have trailer wheel lock)
you could negotiate a fee with clarks boatyard next door for the day.

just to confirm were on (though a little worried about being outgunned )
sadly it will be the 3m chinese as i haven`t been able to `sea test ` the repairs to the excell but she can haul ass if not too choppy
is the plan to meet up for 10.30 (it takes me about half an hour to setup)
little bit nervous as this is a big step up from the rivers but should be great fun
