On the basis that you can't then assuming RV at 10.28 in Yarmouth, I reckon Cowes about 12.47 (depending on sea state).
Say, in the pub by 1.00 pm.
I'd be good to see you again.

David, Hi.
I'd love to, but I've got things to do Saturday morning, although I may be able to get out for a quick blast by lunchtime.
Don't go upsetting any jobsworths this time out
Nasher.

Still go?
I'm still up for it - although the wind forecast has increased slightly.
If others are still go then I suggest meet Yarmouth as previous post and decide then.
Hope to see you in Yarmouth. If not, I'll call at Lymington to see Luke!

Now THAT is what RIBs are for!
Great trip in great company and safely home just as darkness fell (hugged the coast all the way). Lunch was surprisingly good, too.
Hopefully Paul has got some photos (my camera was unfortunately out of battery!).
Hope he, Ian and Chris also all had safe journeys back. Great day; thanks guys.
David

Bumpy run around (off St Caths)
Hi
Good company and some interesting conditions made a great Saturday trip.
David- good to hear you got back OK. It must have been really dark when you arrived...
We had the normal good service from Soton Dry Stack and were lifted out washed down and on our way home by 16.00.
Ian - thanks for making it a great day also.
Taking photos - fell off the priority list as the conditions worsened (of St Catherines). But Ian did attempt some with his mobile phone. lets see what comes out.
Will PM you gus aand swap email addesses/mobile no's
Xheers Paul

Thanks for a great day chaps.
Really good to put names to faces and Stormbreaker looks like a very capable RIB. I am sorry it got so warm in there and you broke out into a sweat Ian it must have been awful for you . I am gutted I could not get the video camera working as I would have got some excellent footage in that swell off St Catherines.
I made the trip back into Hythe and was out and on my way by 4.30.
Heres to the next day out
I will make sure I have filled up with oil before I set off next time!

Thanks to you all for a great day out and yes Chris, it was terrible on board Storm breaker, I only wished I'd taken my shorts and a t-shirt
Paul, A big thanks for inviting me along with you and the chance to take the helm of Storm beaker. She is an incredible rib! What more can I say.
I did get some pictures, however, not the best as they were taken though the windscreen (It seem so unsociable to open to door and let the heat out )

And one more to show how flat calm it was around St Catherines and then in Cowes for a drink.

... and as a PS to the above
On Monday, I received an unexpected Notice of Intended Prosecution for doing 39 mph in a 30 zone on that Saturday on my way down to the marina (running late and then unable to launch anyway because of the unexpectedly low tide). I hadn't seen any speed trap, so it was a complete surprise. Happy Christmas Mr Plod!
