The wind has that 'gale force' whistle even here in the Harbour...

However RIBbing may still happen!

(Pete 7 behave Just because you just got a gold medal at The Chelsea Flower Show for the 'Apple Trees and RIBs Garden'...)

Lloyds Bar in Port Solent is the only definite waypoint of the moment.

Cap'n Pete suggests 8.00 ?

Not really apart from the fact that you have to go though the Security procedure (with fully armed squaddies ) to get on there. Not every Tom,Dick or Harry is allowed on y'know. At high tide you can sail all the way round it. Look at the chart and you will see why it got it's name.

Just got the duty details for T200 - on 28/06 start @ 08:00 finish at 01:00 29/06 Bacon butties can be ferried out to me every hour on the hour pleeeeeeeeeeease

They tend to provide that at the Lock anyway if I'm at the helm

Sadly...I have a mission in the morning but haven't forgotten.

Bacon Butties at next rendez- vous

Need to take some notes from your extensive knowledge of the Harbour at some stage.

But surely that is to allow such a prestigious peson as y'r g'dself through the lock unhindered by mere mortals (and SS boats ) Similar to the treatment HM Queen gets, no?

Us peeps with Private Hire badges are allowed on and off all the time.. (But then we aren't any old tom, dick or harriet..) Never been security checked either.. Nice views across the harbour whilst waiting, and the coffee in their wardroom is top notch as well..

Well. managed to get out Sunday and Today also this weekend.

Quick trip to Cowes Sunday for a drink. came back and the engine started doing funny things as i crossed the main shipping lanes! (im sure it was because i was talking about getting rid of Zippy!)

Out again today for a little spin to try and resolve the problems of yesterday and stopped at the Rising Sun on Le Hamble for refreshements. (Nice Harbour Master let us park for free there.)

Still in the water now so maybe out after work in the week and weather permitting, next weekend.

By the way, was that Bugle Billy (or whatever that monster of an Avon is called) coming down the Itchen this afternoon??

Howard.

RIBex is of course arranged to suit Stuart's Birthday . (He's a bit like The Queen. ).

So if you bump into him, he is partial to the occasional glass of cider . Birthday or not
