Yes, I was planning on going out early next week too. I wouldn't mind going Cod fishing, but would have to be pretty flat out at the South Nab mark I want to use. But also want to do a cruise of some sort, so will be watching the weather with baited breath.

Are you limited to just Monday or any day?

Hi Andy,

I could do Sat, or if I knew now, sunday (Dad would have to put off cooking xmas lunch number two), so pretty limited to Monday, as not here from Tuesday morning onwards! Besides, Monday looking like the best forecast at the moment!
will be keeping an eye on it though!

Thought I might get out today, but slept too long

Was a little breezy today, but with the Sun, would have been quite pleasant. I've just come back from watching the Sun set from Hill Head towards Cowes/Freshwater direction and was as flat as it could be today.

Wind increasing over the next few days and hopefully dropping off Monday onwards. So fingers crossed!

Neil and Andy

Hi
We too are reviewing when to come out also
So will keep in touch. Our visitors leave Saturday lunchtime so thats when boating thoughts kick in.
Pencilled in Monday as a definate
possibly make it Sunday and Monday with a stop over on Sunday night.

Seems Pete7 image shows less wind than forcast, although we have good high pressure the wind is still forecast steady Eastery 20mph - not easing until am Tuesday.

Where does each of you launch from? (we are Ichen River)
cheers Paul

Hi Paul, I usually launch from Haslar Gosport but can equally launch from Warsash or any number of slips along the Gosport coastline, due to more difficult recoveries when single handed I tend to go for the Haslar option however.

So what's happening tomorrow then? I plan a 10ish launch at Haslar and should be out the harbour by 10:30 and 11:15 at Calshot. I am still waiting for crew to confirm, but Ian M is comming along for the ride.

I think a trip to Poole might be too much a trek for me tomorrow, however any port of call North Wight is an option, even to Ventor perhaps. I fancy a trip to Wooten Creek to visit the Sloop Inn as I haven't been there in a while, but open to offers.

We will be out and about as well tomorrow (Monday). We'll be launching at Hamble Marina at about 10.30 so will try and rendezvous with you somewhere! Paul - we've still got two of your mugs to return!. Trevor.
