change of plan it seems, we will probably be launching from camber at around 9.30 - 10
just realised due to commitments we might not make the warsash launch site in time and we cant have my good lady paddling around so we will go with camber in portsmouth
will meet everyone at the lightship

Leave Lym @10.15
Arr Ptmth @11
Ian, I'm starting to feel a little guilty about the timings as everyone else is talking about 0600 and 0645! I'm happy to leave whenever is needed. If the plan is 1030@pompey, lets aim for that. say 0830-0845@ Lym, and leave the pontoons by 0930. HW is 0800. we could always hang a left Cowes if its cold/wet/spikey etc. let me know your thoughts....
|
Milo,
No need for guilt, although my wife does reckon that it burns up calories I will definately be at Lymington, the only question is whether I, and more importantly my son, will be able to make it by 08.45. Definately going, the forecast seems to be getting better and better. Will do my best to be on time , you should not miss my RIB Now where did I put that christmas tree?

I will be picking someone up at Gosport so will be zipping around from Southampton in the morning....Will aim to meet with those at the lightship - although don't wait as I will probably be late!
Enjoy your Christmas dinners tonight.

Solent Christmas Folly Cruise 16.12.06
Any chance you can fit another boat in? If so Charlie and Nina from Shrek would like to come.
Will be at the Folly sometime after 12.00 if you can fit us in then well and good.
Weather looks good but getting colder - looks like double rapping day!

And no doubt expecting the customary crisp fiver slipped inside I fancy.
I shall, of course, avoid this toll by appraoching from a landward direction having already been ripped off by Wightlink earlier in the day.

You should get to Camber OK Chris Hopefully there's no way any self-respecting Pompeyite will be headed for Gunwharf at this hour but there will be plenty out doing the major Christmas shopping later today so might affect traffic & travel times.
We'll be speaking to QHM as soon as they get to work! (Thanks Ribald)
