I took the lifeboat out Sunday morning on a search planning exercise. It was very wet especially in the western solent. You all made a wise choice.

well, Sunday is looking colder, but distinctly better than last weekend
and the wind seems to have reduced significantly this week too according to forecasts, so mayne the solent will calm a bit before
sunday after last weekend.
Here's hoping.

Well, I'm working nights all weekend so couldn't make it all day, but could manage to meet up for an hour either in the moring or afternoon as I'll need some kip. I tell you what, if the weather stays like it is today, it'll be lovely out there, might be tempted for a trip out tomorrow if this keeps up!

I'll try and be there. Gotta take it out before I winterise the engine.

I don't think I will be down as I have a freinds B'day party on the Saturday night and for me to be on the water for a decent time at S'hamptop means a 6am start which may be a little risky with the police and breathalising.
When will the first cruise of the New Year be?
How about New Years day I would deffo be up for that as will have to stay in on New years eve due to baby sitters not being available.

Chris if you want to come down by train then we'll pick you up from the station and run you over in Dynamo. We might even take you back to the station afterwards

Chris
If you're interested I'll be driving down from Birmingham (M40 / A34 usual route). Not sure exactly where you are but could make a diversion to pick you up and drop you back, and will have a spare seat or two on the boat. Let me know.

RW, You'll be up in Aberdeen on Sunday wont you?

This may be a bit more weather-dependant for me than I'd like now-it looks like I may have to come over in Sixy's SIB due to a temporary cashflow problem (like, not being paid!). If I do I'll be launching at Warsash.

Correct!
But when I used to be a manager I learned that delegation is the quay, (alright then Key), to service delivery! Jasper awaits you if needed

It's just me that day but yes please
Might bring the sib down anyway though-if it's flat calm (which I doubt) then it might be a laugh to take it across.
