OK Mark, we'll make an exception for you. You can come in normal garb just as long as you promise not to laugh at the rest of us.
Froglover - Sorry you, Kev and the tadpoles can't make it. Hope to see you soon.

Update
Informal plan for the day
10.00 - meet at Calshot, in vicinity of lifeboat
11.00 onwards - arrive at Yarmouth, purposeful mooching around
12.00ish - lunch in The Wheatsheaf
13.30 - depart Yarmouth
14.30ish - arrive at Ryde, more purposeful mooching, refreshments, toilet
16.00 - depart Ryde (a drying harbour, timings take account of this) for River Medina
17.00ish - arrive at The Folly Inn for tall tales, fishy stories, etc.
Here's an added incentive to persuade a few more of you to come along: Paul (Timboli) has been working hard on our behalf and secured discounted rates for launching at Calshot Activities Centre. On arrival you must stop at a booth. If you say that you are attending the informal 'RIBnet Treasure Hunt' cruise you will be asked to pay just £8.25 to launch & recover a boat up to 6m and park your car & trailer there (usual cost is £11) and just £10.50 to launch & recover a boat over 6m and park your car and trailer (usual cost is £14). Of course you do not have to launch at Calshot but hopefully this might enable a few of you to be extra generous at the end of the day!
Pencilled in participants (in sort of alphabetical order):
Andre
Andy
David Manning
John Kennett
Jono (t'other one)
Mark Halliday
Nauti Buoy
Neal
Nick Hearne
Noddy
Peter J
Richard B & Louise
Rich L
Robin
Rogue Wave
Simmons 0
Timboli & Runaground Sue
Whiteshoes
I know some of you are not able to confirm yet but it would be useful if you could give us a definite 'yay' or 'nay' at some point. Later this week I will PM Richard's mobile number to all participants so any last minute cancellations can be made. Sorry to sound a bit bossy but we don't want to leave anyone behind, but equally so we cannot wait around for no-shows as Ryde harbour is tidal. Tide and weather info to be posted soon.
It's not too late to join in! Please post soon if you would like your name to be added to the list!
See you there!!

Hi Louise
We are camping at either Gosport or Warsash over the weekend and, weather permitting, we will join you and launch at Calshot around 9.30am.
Looking forward to this one but havent managed to get a "pirate rig".
We will just look "Mean"!
regards
Martyn and Ann

More good news
Paul (Timboli) has once again used his charm to negotiate a great deal.
Ryde Harbour is giving all participants free berthing on Sunday afternoon in exchange for a donation to charity. The usual charge for a short stay is £4 or £5 depending on the length of your boat. The donations may be made in The Folly Inn during the prize-giving.
Even the weather looks as though it will be smiling on us - the forecasts I have seen predict sunshine and a force 3 to 4. Fingers crossed!!!
I will PM Richard's mobile to all participants later today. Please either post, PM or call us if you cannot attend after all. Equally so, we'd love to hear from any others who would like to join us.

Plea for information
Please could you let me know how many children you will have with you so I can make sure we have enough treats to go round. I already have numbers from Mark Halliday, Nick Hearne, Rich L and Whiteshoes (thanks guys) but would really appreciate numbers from everyone else. Nil returns too please!!
Thanks for your help.

Ray - remember it's a low spring on Sunday morning, so you may need to make plans to have the RIB outside Bebbridge.
For everyone launching on Sunday morning, I believe that you should be OK for all states of tide launch and recovery at either Camber (Portsmouth) or Calshot Activities Centre where Paul (Timboli) has negotiated a special RIBnet deal. http://www.calshot.com/

Louise, Richard & Co.
Anything specific we need to bring, apart from usual ribbing kit and cash?
All the rest.
Any one launching from the east (Pompey, Langstone, Chichester etc) want to meet up on the way over to Calshot? We are planning to leave Northney no later than 09:00.
