[QUOTE=Mark Halliday] Louise, Richard & Co.
Anything specific we need to bring, apart from usual ribbing kit and cash?
Pens (essential) and colour pencils for the kids would be useful. Also something hard to write on(a book or something).
Please feel free to bring your cameras, lots of pics would be good.
Cant think of anything else at the moment.

[QUOTE=Richard B] Ray - remember it's a low spring on Sunday morning, so you may need to make plans to have the RIB outside Bebbridge.
Thats allways my trouble (no slips on any tide) will catch up with you some where . Ray (ps no kids)

Looking forward to seeing you Phil & Ray.
It seems it was fated that our pirate-themed cruise should take place on Sept 19th as this date is apparently 'Talk Like a Pirate Day'. More details can be found here: http://www.thomasscott.net/yarr/ and here: http://www.talklikeapirate.com/piratehome.html . In the links section there are some 'pirate name generators' including the one Slimtim posted a link to a while ago. So go and generate your pirate names, me hearties!

Launched the rib today and will keep on the water overnight as at 8am tomorrow it is LW so no launching till 11:00 at LAmpton
Went out today for a short spin .The wind was blowing pretty strong and there were very steep seas so if the same tomorrow then unfortunately I do not think we will even attempt to meet up with you. Will call Richard on the mobile by 9am and let you know of our plans.
we are meeting at the marina at 8 AM so in fair weather it would take us an hour and a half to get to you
The forecasts do say better weather tomorrow. Will just have to wait and see.

I agree with you on this Peter we are ready to go in the morning as the weather sites i have looked at show Sunday getting better. It has cleared up here in the last hour or so but we are a good 70miles away. Anyone with any better local info would be welcome.
Hoping to see you all soon.

Hope you all have a good day tommorow. May see some of you in Pompy in the afternoon (guess who's on patrol then )
No quarter will be given to miscreants - the planks have been greased and the yardarms polished. Any boats spotted with a BM sticker will be impounded (Well that's me banned then ) Any vessel attempting to lay a (diesel) smoke screen to cover your tracks through the harbour will have to buy the coffees in Starbucks.

Thanks for the kind invitation, but we seem to be routed to from Calshot to Cowes via Yarmouth & Ryde. So, no business from this cruise. Sorry Pete.

I don't know, Mark - you will be passing through the Dockyard Port area at sometime on your trip. We don't only stay in the harbour you know

What! You take that wobbly cat thing out through the entrance in anything other than flat calm? Brave man.

We're keeping a close eye on the weather too. We'll be at Calshot at 10am and, depending on the conditions, those who meet will decide what to do (options being: to do the cruise as originally planned or to do a shortened version or to have a 'play' in sheltered water or to give up and find a pub!).
See you tomorrow (hopefully)!
