Yo all,

Just driven along the sea front between Gosport and lee.

Nothing much out there to worry about - 2 foot waves only. As its a SWerly the island is acting as a buffer zone - a big lake really !!

and tomorrow is a lot better than today

Cowes should/will be completely in the lee of the land.

Paul

I'll be there alright and if I don't bring my boat then I'll jump in your's, thanks. Blowing a hurricane here in Essex today but Paul seems to think it'll be better tomorrow so I'll probably bring the boat.

Missus/Paul

Can we park near this cafe or should I meet you all at the dockside? Never been to Portsmouth so I haven't got a clue where to go!

Big car park beside the cafe - dead easy to find - on the sea front at Lee On Solent.

Junction 9 off M27 - look at a map - don't you have GPS in the scrap heap of a 4x4

pk

PS

Its not Portsmouth. Its between Gosport ( opposite Portsmouth) and Warsash.

NB don't use Lee slip

Many thanks Riva...

Jet skiers using Daedalus tomorrow if anyone is thinking of heading for there...best head for either Warsash slipway or the slip at Haslar...

If you want to link up with us (Phil & others) we will be at the Bluebird Cafe , seafront, Lee on Solent until 9.30. Then we will head off from Haslar (boat in water there with Blue Ice).

Still watching weather front...has taken slight downturn...5 for longer by the looks of it.

Will keep updating as peeps get in touch...

Missus (friends' kids over 'helping'...we're making green ice cubes and putting the railway track together!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!you know, the urgent stuff!!!!!Jackso & Bubble gone for grub.)

Absolutely gorgeous here!

Just listened to Solent CGs MSI broadcast; they are forecasting west to southwest force 5/6 occasionally 7, sea state slight to moderate for tomorrow.

Kathleen, its probably best you had to come back in, they have just issued a gale warning; force 10 decreasing 9 imminent, not that you would believe that at the moment.

Boats all packed and ready to go.
