Ribs on the Solent

Hi All,

Well I was down on the Seafront about 11 ish this morning enjoying the sunshine when this bright yellow rib emerged from the harbour entrance accompanied by a grey rib although a little smaller in size.

As soon as they were clear throttles were opened up and then they were gone into the hazy sunshine last seen heading towards the forts.

hope you had a great day guys

See you all soon.

Hi all

The whole Nasher clan will be launching from the Camber about 11:00 and are hoping to head over to the Folly for a spot of lunch.

The Nashers Revenge! will be joined by davybouy in his 5.4SR and another friend in his White Shark(Hard Boat).

Come and say hello.

Nasher

Awesome day out

Had a mega blast today, sea was flat, sun was shining, excellent company, about 8 ribs out, had a blast to Cowes for lunch and then the Needles. Aiming to be out again sometime tomorro, will be monitoring 77. Suppose I had better put some more fuel in as managed to eat my way through 180 litres today but then was not hanging about. Anyway perhaps see some out tomorrow.

I saw you today, just outside cowes. I was in my uncles *duck* cruiser!

We aimed to goto the folly for lunch, but was really busy up there - and the guys on the boats couldn't have been less helpful in finding us somewhere to stop for a short visit... something about the rallys and things they had going on... so we ended up staying on the short stay just on the right hand side as you go into cowes.

Hopefully getting my rib sorted tomorrow, so should be out for a play!

Yep that was nuts shutting that marina off, and Cowes Yacht Haven could not give a toss, so we ended up mooring the 8th rib out at Cowes Quay which was quite intersting!!

Wakeboarding

Well my other half Sarah, braved the cold sea and went wakeboarding. 15 mins was enough though as the cold was getting to her. Hopefully will be out again tomorrow.

It was a great day and I hope we can repeat it soon.

Soooooo much easier now that we're based in Chichester.

It was a blast, good to see you lot out. I am sure we will be out again very soon, oh!! and Tony, I must try that shopping excuse you came up with..... Chichester to Cowes only to collect your other half a top she liked.... that was most generous of you. Might have to introduce Sarah (my other half) to the shops in Cowes tooo

It was a great ribbing Easter weekend. Got loads of photos and will post some later.

Kevin (AY) sorry but did not see you in the distance
Andrew (The Edges) re your SMS - I was not thinking of the scones
Bogi I did say come down to the Solent
Richard, Sarah deserves a medal

Saturday we headed for Poole and on the way out I got stopped by the law on a jet bike. For those who wish to go to Poole you have been warned. He was convinced I was doing more then 10 knots. He said he had been chasing ribs for 10 years and can tell who is doing what. As it happened as he waved me down to stop I looked at the speed on my GPS and was doing exactly 10 knots. I said to him "Officer I have no reason why I should lie to you, I was doing 10 knots and that is it" > at the time we were just behind the BIBOA Easter cruise and Mike Deacon could not resist in taking a photo. I think he was convinced I would get a ticket

Yesterday met up with Jan Falkowski by the Green Ship and he talked us into a trip up the Beaulieu River for lunch. Tony (Sidney1) who had found a good excuse for another day on the water also headed up the Beaulieu River for lunch and then together off to Cowes as Tony had to buy a special top for his other half. What one does for love these days.

Not sure what it is with Parker RIBs. They always seem to attract the attention of the law!

Glad you all had a good time.

Tony, best excuse for a day on the water ever.
