Hi Nick, no its not new seating but a new helm position that will make it possible for me to stand which was what I really noticed was an issue on the last solent trip. I have taken DB up to Osprey and Mike is basically cutting out the entire front face of the console where all the instruments are...

http://rib.net/forum/attachment.php?...1&d=1181567523

and then re laminating in a thicker face that will be strong enough to take the helm which will be mounted roughly where the radio is in the above pic.

The radio will then move down to where the helm was.

Took me about 4 hours to remove everything and then dropped the RIB up on Tuesday just gone and its ready today.

Thats what I call service and for a lot less than you would think

More pics to follow.....

PS many thanks for the adice fromo Dave Manning who suggested this as a solution to my problem.

I'll be on the water for the entire Easter Bank Holiday, hopefully with the SR 5.4, otherwise it'll be zapping about on the P22.

If it's the SR 5.4 i'll be getting to grips with the 70hp 2str on the back.

Not sure what she'll be good for yet

Got a drawing now, just haven't had the time with my new job. The disadvantage of going back onto a day shift pattern.

Yeh, of course you can. Nothing fancy, just a bracing piece that'll U bolt clamp in place either side of the bend.

We have abandoned the idea of going out Friday. No point in making it an endurance test.

Sunday and Monday are pencilled in, but may do jobs on the boat if it is still grim out there.

Tony.
