Yes I've got a big one
Did you notice in that image how me and my outboard have matching bald spots?

I've just relized how massive my console looks in some of the pics in comparison to the rest of the boat. Still keeps the wind away and dry

Having heard the weather conditions for the return trip, Nasher decided to use his new on board toilet facilities. Unfortunately, despite the convenience, their public aspect and requirement for an on-shore chain flush means that they remain unlikely to make ribbing more attractive to girls....

Had he been somewhere I could have left him to wait for the next high tide I'd have pulled him up the beach and left him there.

...and if they are a delightful and charming family who are maybe new to boating who just happened to have committed the terrible crime of tying up to the tube fittings on your inflatable...and they just didn't know and thought it was OK and came back to find their boat high and dry because someone had dragged it into shallow water..what a distinctly unpleasant "punishment" for someone to consider.
I think your later post of a laminated sign is far more appropriate.

Had you seen the way it was tied you'd possibly change your mind. Not only did they do damage to the A-frame but they'd tied so tightly to the grab handles that the handles were on the verge of being ripped out of the patches.
Had I been solo dragging them up the beach would have been the only option. They had tied on with lines so short there's no way I could have got away without help.
Besides, there's absolutely no excuse for being that much of a numpty.
I'll have that laminated sign onboard next time...

The first trip out in the solent that I took in Time Bandit I tied up at the end of the pontoon outside the folly next to a rather shitty looking old RIB, he was ont he inside agains the pontoon then me then Neil Harvey on the end, when we came to leave the old rib had gone and left me ties to the pontoon except that he had tied me up right at the end of the pontoon so that the rear of the tube was up agains the sharp metal corner, luckily no punture but a scuff on my new tube and a chunk out of my strake.
I was not too chuffed and lesson learnt even when mooring up against a rib sling out the fenders. Also if you moor up against a shite looking boat thats a pretty good indication of how the owner may treat yours !!

Excellent...Referring to persons unknown as Numptys is far better than calling them a "pr**k" as in your earlier post.
And I thoroughly approve of the wording of your proposed laminated sign. Polite, welcoming but firm without a hint of aggression.
Well done...I'm certainly seeing good progress here.

Tim, I suppose you'd be OK about it if it was your RIB then? ......I think not!

I think I may need to explain.
When we returned after lunch there was a 2l Ice Cream tub on the back seat of 'The Nashers Revenge'. Not mine, and everyone denied all knowledge of it.
After seeing the Rouge Wave thread I was a little worried about opening it.
But after picking up the courage I found all there was inside was a lot of crumbs which looked like the remains of somebodies lunch.
Because of my good nature I'll assume it was blown off the harbour wall when somebody put it down beside their bench, I'd hate to think somebody threw it in the boat on purpose.
Nasher.

Hands up it was me
Nasher
It was us - we eat our sandwiches sitting watching harbour life (and last ribs arriving) and then thought we should go and meet you all in the pub. Did'nt want to be seen in the pub with a tatty icecream tub/sandwich box, so carefully placed it on the centre of your rear seat. The intention (of course) was to collect on our way back.
Well we sudenly realised that France was 1 hr ahead and we did'nt want to be arriving too late. So we hurried back to our boat and completely fogot.
So thats the full explanation....
Paul

Hi, thanks for the explanation, and of course you were very welcome.
Its the simple things that often cause the fun, and I did think it might blow up in a cloud of talcom powder when I opened it.
Without meaning to it gave a few of us a laugh, thanks.
I'm afraid I put it up on the harbour wall, so some particularly clever seagull has probably bagged an ultra modern nest by now.
You'll just have to eat another 2l to get the tub.
Oh, and I'd agree with your taste, Walls devon Ice Cream is the one I always buy too. Its great on its own, or even better with Mrs Nasher's home made Apple Crumble. Mmmmmmmmm.
See you soon.
Nasher.
