Nasher,
Are you still coming on this trip? If so, would it be possible to pass the fantastic Hightower produced "RIB build of the year" trophy over to you for presentation to the 2007 winner?
I'm off to Canada for a year so won't have another chance to hand it over (although I could post it) and this will be my last RIBnet cruise for a long time

The October gig is usually a well supported cruise, so if you're humming and haaing, then go for it, it's always fun!
A full cruising plan with semi-solid timings, rv points, suggested VHF Channel, volunteer contacts at each muster point, and suggestions for lunch/mooring arrangements will be published in due course.
Can I take this opportunity to remind everyone that this is not an organised event (especially as the likes of me and Tim are involved ), it is purely an informal cruise, with a vague plan of who will be where and when. It is not connected with RibNet, or the owners of RibNet, this is purely the medium used to set the event up.
That said, good spirit invariably prevails at these events, and it's a great way to explore new ports, meet new people, and have a great day on the water, safe in the knowledge that if anything should go wrong, there is a fair chance someone will help out! Not me though, I'll be too busy towing lurcher back...
See you all on the 7th, praying for good weather, and looking forward to a good turnout!

Jimbo,
I can't make it I'm afraid as I'll be working that day
The Blue Venom project could be water bourne by then, however with seat backs, upholstery and grabrails a little way off, she won't be Solent ready untill next month now. I'm hoping to pull a load of wires and cables though the hull this weekend with some fibreglassing tomorrow if the weather holds.
Have a great day out and share your photo's please.

I've left mine here overnight before, boat on the pontoon trailer behind a locked barrier + wheel clamp +cctv I think. You keep a wheel clamp key and they take one incase they need to move it. Free car park 20 m away for the car in the day
You pay for a launch at the puplic slip 50 m away and over night for boat and trailer was less than £20
We took the car to the travel lodge over night

Lurcher, yes, I will book tables.
Unfortunalty the kings head is known for its slow service; I have always booked in the past and we all know how long it takes to get fed.
Jimbo, are you coming?
