Folks
Where abouts in Southampton are you leaving from and at what time? If you're interested in meeting up I'm planning to leave Ocean Quay at 9:30 and head for Portsmouth.

I am not 100% on coming yet. It's my nipper's birthday and whilst he is not having his party that day I am not sure how well me buggering off and maybe taking all his siblings with me is going to down with her indoors.
I was waiting to see what the weather was going to be like before broaching the subject because if it was going to blowing a hooley then no point discussing it. The weather looks nice so I'll mention it tonight.
I wouldn't go all the way to Portsmouth just to come back again though. I would suggest meeting the main group and Cowes and maybe the Southampton lot meeting at Calshot before that?

Hello All
I will be out on the lifeboat Sunday morning. Have to go to Coastguard first thing but may see some of you when we come back from lee on Solent. If you see us then come and say hello. Will be off the boat by 1pm so will come and say hello to you in one of the pubs in Cowes.

I am not going to be able to come on this one. Her indoors has other birthday celebration plans for the 7 year old. Bummer. I was wanting to check that Paul had come back safely from the dark side!
I hope to be out and about tomorrow instead, if anyone is around give me a wave!
Peter.

Slight change of plan - we'll be heading to RV at Calshot not Portsmouth. Weather is looking very good (too good?!!). See you all Sunday.

The plan will be something similar to the following:
Portsmouth people: gather by the lightship from 1015 ready to leave by 1030.
Head to Calshot to meet those coming from other areas of the Solent at 1100.
If the weather is nice: Head to Cowes, for flasks of coffee/something stronger on the quay in the glorious sunshine. Proceed to Yarmouth, arriving aprox 1200.
If the weather isn't nice: Proceed slowly to Yarmouth.
Have lunch at the Kings Head (this may take a while!). Leave Yarmouth at aprox 1430, head for the needles for blasting around and lots of photos!
Head for Portsmouth at aprox 1530, returning by about 1630.
Of course, the above is open to suggestion/amendment! As usual, this will be a casual, fun cruise, not a race, so should be suitable for all sizes of boat as long as the weather is OK.

I think this sounds about right. Everyone OK with it?

Hi guys. Plan is still as above. I'll write a nice tidy list later as I'm still drunk from a very heavy pub crawl last night. Looks like me and Ju will be hitching a lift as I couldn't get a thermostat in time. Never mind. At least we have nice weather at the moment! Remember to bring refreshments for Cowes!
