Just got home.
We were the Blue Avon 620 that rendezvoused with you off Yarmouth. Beautiful RIBing conditions out there, wasn't it?

Well, we just got home. What a day, I needed that after about 6 weeks of no ribbing, and possibly another 6 weeks to come with no opportunities to get out.
Thanks to Tim M for organising the weather, and Jimbo for being MC
Apologies to Jackeens for (I think ) cutting them up a bit on the way back (my cameraman stole my concentration )
Will try and sort some pics shortly

Thanks to all that came today. The day started off with a slap-up breakfast at Jimbos place. The Jackeens kindly invited me and Ju aboard Merlin as my new thermostat still hasn't arrived. Having gatherd at the lightship we set off for a great day on the water. The weather was perfect; warm, sunny and the sea was perfectly flat.
I've posted a selection of shots in the gallery - please add to it if you have piccies too.
PS. I thought John was joking when he said he came over in his inflatable until we saw him making his way back on our way home. Nutter!

Blast from the past...
Great to be back in the Solent again! Thanks for organising the weather Tim & Ju! There was an auspicious start to the day with amazing breakfasty hospitality round at Jimbo & Rich’s. Chocolatey croissants, sausage baps, banana pancakes, devilled eggs…the food never stopped! Stunning effort guys!
Conditions on the day were excellent and all were in good spirits! RIBnet Duce JK blasted across on something he’d unrolled from the boot and looked like he was having a whale of a time! (Multi tasking as well!!! Two cruises on the same day!!! )
Good to catch up with Slimtim before you head off to Canada - look forward to the blog. I personally enjoyed trying to race the Cowes Inshore Lifeboat with Simon H at the helm as they gallantly escorted us towards Yarmouth. I was happy with our 49/50 knots but there were a few faster ghostly hulls out there today!!!!
Matt and Liz – that new boat is superb. Playing in the chalky waters off the Noodles was magical. Nauti made it out after all on Mini Nauti and we ran up to Puerta Solenta together through the autumnal mist after an excellent day on the water.
Good to catch up with everyone (too many to mention) again!
Kathleen & Paul

Got in about 45 minutes ago-cheers for breafast Jimbo and a very big thankyou to Paul and Kathleen for helping me recover. I think I'd have been up the creek without a paddle otherwise
Liz got in too-her car behaved all the way home
There's a lot of really good pics up!
I may make more sense after some sleep....

With the trip around the Isle of Wight we clocked up 74NM today and put a few more hours on the Etec which pretty much behaved itself apart from 2 occasions where it died when trying to throttle up after idling.
It was great meeting everyone, Jimbo and Tim thanks for organising stuff Andy B007 thanks for keeping us company round the island, I forget the name of your fellow Ribshack Ribeye owner but it was great to see him and his two girls having a blast I heard a number of squeals as they hit the odd wave Lee (Leeway) your boat is nuts and looked like a lot of fun. Milo and crew it was good meeting you all and I hope your mate still has his bollocks intact after his other half has finished with him
BTW was that Leviathon I saw creeping past the Red Jet Quay on its way up to fill up at the Folly i'm suprised you did not pop in for a piss take Johnny?
Chris
