Got the part today. Can't fit it at the moment as the old bit is stuck solid. I'll give it another go on Friday then I'm not too sure what I'll do.
Time to start searching RIBNET for some tips I think.

A big favour is anyone can help
Sorry the title should ready IF not IS
Guys I have just bought a little 2HP Yamaha from ebay, its in Littlehampton.
Would anyone like to earn lunch and a pint or 2 by going to check the engine out for me and if its good then collecting it (I will pay over the phone) and bring it along when we meet up on the 25th.
They are open 9-5 weekdays and Saturday Mornings.
If you are able to help then PM me or call me on 07786 804141.
Thanks

I might be up for this! Having been laid low with kidney and related problems since before Xmas I could do with some fresh air (and a bit of a bashing might do them some good!!)
Nick - hope you fix 'your bit'!

OK for the 25th - boat currently with Ribshop for spring refurb, but would love to come along if anyone fancies extra crew and a share of the fuel costs!

I am all sorted now.
I am away till the 24th so I'll check back on RIBNET on my return. Looks like we have some serious interest.
I'm happy to go along with any plan that anyone can think of.
For now I can state that I will be on the water at Calshot at 1000 hrs. I can change that if it suits.

Not Happy,

Weather is looking good for Monday so I'm on for this but may not be able to make it to Calshot until nearer 10:30.

Hi guys, new to the forum and new to RIBs, but, have the week off due to changing jobs and would love to join up on the Monday trip. Can I join in or does one need to be initiated before attending such days?! I've also never launched single handedly and probably can't, do these trips include giving a guy extra help to launch? Or am i just asking too much!? Rob.

The more the merrier, if you pay for everything we will consider that initiation enough
Only kidding, just pay for me and you'll be fine
I don't know where most people are launching from and that includes me too, I guess Warsash on the Hamble, I might be tempted as the tides aren't that Ideal from Haslar and I'd like to try an alternative slip.

I will probably launch from Hythe. Tides look fine to me with high tide at 1.15pm
I will probably be launching at around 10-00.
Is there a plan yet?
Chris

Welcome to the forum. I suggest you post your proposed launch site and time and see if that fits in with anyone else.
I know that Nick 'Biggles' who kicked this cruise off, and probably others, will be launching from Warsash on the River Hamble.
Alternatively there's always space on other boats if you want to tag along for the first time - I will have space for sure (but appreciate it's not the same as bringing your own boat!)
Either way hope to see you on Monday.
Andy
