Solent Safari - 21/22 May!!!

Everybody is welcome to the 'Solent Safari' being held on the weekend 21/22 May. The event is being hosted by the RSrnYC in Hamble and will open to anyone with Rib/hardboat.

On the Saturday we are planning a super size treasure hunt to take place in the Solent. It will take a lot of the day and we plan to stop for some lunch in Yarmouth. The treasure hunt will involve following a predetermined course around the Solent and will even involve stopping in certain harbours around the place to collect items etc..... Afterwards all welcome to return to Yacht club for drinkies and tall stories!

Then on the Sunday morning we are going to have a poker run! So once again open to all and will be great fun blasting around the Solent collecting cards. Back to Yacht Club in Hamble look at the 'hands' celebrate the winner distribute prizes from treasure hunt.

Thats it, will be good fun any questions please send me a pm or post. There will be an entry cost to cover insurance etc of £30 for the two days of fun.

Thanks

Martin Curry

OK great, can you add us to the list please? Let us know if we need to pay somebody upfront.

This will be our first venture into the delights of cruising with other ribnet members, so please be gentle with us

Roger

And hopefully we'll get a chance to do a 'flyby' to see the Zapcat Racing so we can cheer on Team Luna Sea (Craig & Co.).

Yeah, sorry Martin, we really enjoyed last year even though it was a tad wet !!

Very keen to come along to this year's event. Have held off so far, 'cos I 'm not sure what day or days we're able (allowed) to do.

Can I pm you later this week with the decision that is handed down to me.

Yep there will be boats from the RSrnYC both Ribs, sportsboats and motor cruisers. It is usually a good turnout somewhere between 15 and 20 boats.

Martin, I'd like to join in with this one if that's ok (obviously as I'll be in a hard boat, it'll need to be absolutely flat calm and sunny) I can't make the Saturday, but Sunday appears to fall into place nicely.

jf

PS. How do I go about paying the entry?
