Ah ha, excellent - I did many courses and offshore voyages for Gary and Walton cadets over the years, and we were frequent users of their RIB for instructor courses. I had lunch with Nick just before Christmas and he's keeping himself busy as always!

RIBase
We ended up in Portsmouth on Saturday which was quite a nice, albeit chilly, run from SDS.

The orginal intention was to go to Chichester but the M27 was closed so I diverted north to discover, lo and behold, they'd closed that road too. It caused me a significant outbreak of Tourettes and by the time I reached SDS the tides were no longer in my favour so Portsmouth it was.

I can recommend the Spinnaker Cafe in Old Portsmouth if anyone is in that neck of the woods.

Thanks for your thoughts for us over losing our dear little Eddie. To avoid thread drift I'll start a new thread in 'other stuff'
