Solent - Saturday 24 February 2007

Me and BenC are planning on heading out into the Solent on Saturday, weather forcast is for winds (23mph). We haven't been out in strong winds as yet and would like some company just in case!

Is anyone thinking about going out that way? If anyone fancies it then they will be more than welcome to have a blast with us on the Zapcat...if your brave enough!

So who's up for it then....?

I'll be out and about in a Black 7m rib, just off Browndown Beach. I'm working, but if you see me do pop over and say hi!

Likewise if you get into hot water - give Rib Evolution a call on the VHF.

I'm hoping to get out on Saturday, although won't be out till about 12'ish if that is of any use to you. Probably will be heading out to Cowes and the Folly.

Jimbo, where's Browndown Beach?

Nauti Buoy, we most likely won't be out till about lunchtime'ish so we'll keep an eye out for you, we may well head over to cowes depending on the state of the Solent.

Not sure I'm up for a ride on a Zapcat but I am thinking of heading out Saturday, no particular plans in mind. I'll be coming from S'ton - what's your plan?

Andy

I would be up for coming out and would naturally be up for a blast in the zapcat but hopefully my spangly new mountain bike should be arriving tomorrow so will hopefully be riding all weekend! Wooohooo!

Andy - We will be launching at Warsash but what time depends on what time I drag myself out of bed and get round to Ben's and get the boat ready. It will probably be about 11ish at Warsash I guess making for about 11.30 out near Calshot.

Slimtim - let us know when your next heading out and we'll swop you some Zapcat fun for some photos

Gray and I made the mistake of going out on friday night for a "few" drinks - I think we had about 10 pints in the end... both of not feeling 100% on saturday, still decided to go for it - and glad we did... was a choppy day out, which gave us more experience with the zapcat - its not that fun when its flat calm in a boat thats made to handle big waves

Didn't see anyone we knew... but there is always next time!

We are most likely out next saturday if anyone is out?
