Where do you have in mind?

I'd like to do some longer journeys in my boat over the next couple of months.

there is a slim chance that the campaign I am presently on will end prior to the 25th, if that's the case I'd love to join you and Biggles.

theres also a good chance that Dyna Mo Humm (nee Bugle Billy) will be ready to rock with a new engine. ut if not I can bring lots of petrol and magners money!

Ben re long journeys d'ya fancy nipping down to Cornwall one weekend or accross the channel

Regrettably will miss you guys on this one - I've got 2 VHF Courses on (Thanks to Brian for taking on the other one! ) and 'my' boat (Evolution!) is regrettably tied up, as Daddy is teaching a PB2 on it.

Wednesdays tend to be good for me!!

I'm giving a bit of thought to moving to Aberdeen but if I do please don't tell Roguetta where I've gone!

I earned my money today it all turned Nasty /quickly and I had to bring the boat back in a big old sea. w got my twelve meter craned on OK but one of the FRC's didn't crane in too well and smashed the A frame off the spare one. There will be Paperwork to do I feel

So the weather is looking good for Saturday. Anyone up for a little cruising. Possibly scoot around the island with a few stops for refreshments and maybe a spot of fishing

Neil,

Give me a shout on 77 or phone me. I guess we don't want to spend too much either. Might do some beach storming with my new tender around at Culver Bay.

Okay just a little itinery for those out and about. I will be at the Lightship between somewhere between 1000 hrs and 1100 hrs and then slowly cruising round to Ventnor for an extended lunch.

Feel free to say hello. I'll be listening out on Ch 77.

A cracking day today. After Nos4r2 decided to join at the last minute as a crewmate we decided to do some gentle cruising and a bit of fishing. After a quick drink in the Lightship we headed off clockwise around the island. Weather was superb with a light mist cutting down visibilty to about 5 miles max. Popped in to Ventnor Harbour. The Harbour master was a real gent and after explaining that he thought mooring prices were exorbitant charged us a fiver for a short stay. This included a ferry trip to dry land. A word of warning though the harbour does dry out considerably and some moorings are available outside the harbour which are better for bigger boats. We also found food to be very cheap and everyone friendly. The village is also pretty but a bit of a maze with myself leading a RIBNET raid through a hotel at one stage as we tried to find our way around up the sides of the steep hills which the village is built on. Certainly a place that will be getting more visits from myself.
After lunch we walked back out to the boat and walked it out of the by now very shallow harbour. Then it was off to the Needles on a mirror flat sea. Did a spot of fishing at the Needles and actually managed to catch Matt his breakfast. Then it was a quick blast up the Western Solent during which we saw the QM2 departing.

Hope the weather and seas are as kind for all RIBNETers this weekend.

Some pics below show Ventnor and Matt with his breakies.
